Christmas was...

Well, I wasn't expectin' much. Life...

...eh, it doesn't matter. I think I'll take a nap.

Mmm... feels like I been sleepin' a long time. Not unusual these days, I guess... not much to wake up for, ayup. Days here aren't too eventful... I guess that's sort of the point though.

Things just keep on going, with or without me, really. Not a bad thing, though. Well, not all the time. Sometimes it's better just to mind your own business...

I'm good at that, but I think maybe I've been doin' it for too long. Starts to make your head funny, sleepin' your life away like that. Gets hard to remember things...

Least that's what I heard.

I hope Polly's doing alright, wherever she is...

There are some old grudges that die hard, and some that...die easy, I guess. I don't know if they can ever be completely gone, but it's nice to think it can happen, yup.

Felt real tired lately...when the weather cools down it'll be easier to stay awake, yup.

Some people think that hatin' is the only thing that keeps 'em alive, but sometimes that's not true. Just thinkin' about things...

Er...don't know much about computers. Everyone's been gettin' those journal things, so I guess I'll get one too, ayup. Not much in my life that's real interestin'...well, not nowadays anyway.

Prison life ain't too different really...days go by and you don't notice after a while, yup...

Mmm, days are gettin' warmer...much easier to sleep when its warm than when it's cold, yup.
I like warm weather, it's relaxin'. Long as you don't move around too much, ain't too bad.
Days keep on blurrin' by. I guess after a while you get used to anything, ayup. Still would rather be at home near the lake though...

Er, sorry about not updating lately...time kind of blurs for me now. I'm getting old and I'm not used to really having people take any interest in me and all, so days go by and by and things slip my mind. Hope none of you are mad at me or nothin', yup...

Still kind of gettin' used to the idea of havin' people who'd be angry if I disappeared...

Hmm...I never much cared for today. Those little hoodlums would always come by the lake and vandalize my boats! Shame on them! Taking advantage of an old man who can't run very fast...at least Polly warned me most of the time, yup.
I always fall for those kid's tricks. Hoodlums, I tell you!

Saw some of you tryin' this thing, so I thought I'd give it a try too, ayup.

I watch people come and go. They come in and leave a few days later, yup.
I can't say I mind much, though.

I guess what it all comes down to is that...it's been a long time since I haven't felt...alone.

Er, not sure myself...but all the officers around here sure are busy all of a sudden...

Er, thank you kindly for the book Miss Dee. It's really pretty good, ayup. Though sometimes I have to take notes on what's goin' on so I don't lose track, yup. Sometimes these murder mystery things can get real complicated and all, what with people gettin' murdered and blamin' other people and flashbacks and everythin', you see. My memory might not be as bad as you think, but it's still not the best, yup.

That Gant fella, er, keeps lookin' at me. I think he's plannin' something or other. Maybe it's just my eyes though. Not sure how he got here, though he says he was the chief of police, yup. I wonder what happened?
Don't get the wrong idea, I ain't one for escapin' illegally or anything, you see. I can wait 'til I've served my time and all, considerin' I did kill someone and that's the kind of thing you serve your time for I think, ayup.
If Gant's plannin' some kind of escape then I'm not going to be a part of it, nope. I'm not much for gettin' into more trouble, you see. I've had my share of it for this lifetime.

I didn't really notice this before, but it got kind of lonely at the Wet Noodle by myself before last Christmas Eve and everything that happened. We might be the best noodle place in town, but not too many are interested in who's makin' the noodles, you know? All I really had in my life was my pretty Polly. I guess I can look at me bein' here as a good thing, 'cause I'm meetin' people and makin' friends and fixin' things that went wrong a long time ago, and it's kind of nice, yup. Not so alone anymore.
Glad that ghosts can talk on these computer thingies, 'cause it gave me a chance to talk with

dl6_victim and work at clearing up the smoke of fifteen years...lots happened since then, ayup.
I guess even though I'm in jail and all, it ain't so bad, really. Meg and Keith's visits brighten up the day, little Terry's too. It's nice to know that there are people out there who care about an broken-down, feeble old man...

Someone sent me some of them, what's it, those candy canes thingies. Little late for Christmas, but it's the first time I've gotten a gift in years, ayup. Felt nice...
